Summer Family Fun

Our main activity, The Obstacle Course created a lot of giggles with contestants facing water filled balloons, walking a plank over the steeple-chase water jump, Q&A sponge splat, wibbly-wobbly, cargo-net crawl, slap-face with finally the ultimate egg challenge. The picnic on the infield was a great socialiser, especially after the strenuous efforts of the Obstacle course, Shuttle Relay,Tug o War and the Crackerjack Cabbage game.

Martin Hyman, our ex GB International, life club member and regular supporter of our younger members, kindly donated several large platters of freshly sliced summer fruits and the eggs( for the Russian Omelette challenge!).
Alex Teuten, a current International, along with several other seniors, club stalwarts, parents & grandparents were happy to turn out & get stuck in. Our event was held on the Uk's biggest sports day (I Am Team GB Celebration Day).
The event also included a raffle with some wonderful items kindly donated by ALEXANDER SPORTS, BROOKS SPORTS, DEVON LODGE HOLIDAYS, EXPRESSIONS FITNESS at the MOUNTBATTEN CENTRE, COPAC, and from club members & helpers.
With thanks to Malcolm Hargraves of RUNNING CRAZY, there were 3 very lucky winners (Cameron Walker-Powell, Jensen Howard & Daniel Blake) who were excited to receive a ticket each to the opening night of 2017's TRACK & FIELD WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS, being held in London, to witness the likes of MO FARAH & USAIN BOLT!
There are 3 more winning tickets for our youngsters coming available at our 70th Victory 5 Road Race in December, details to be announced.
