Sad Farewell to Ann Lewis

Ann competed in the Race Walk for CoPAC as a Second Claim member in the SCVAC League when AFD were not represented. Ann was a member of the team when CoPAC won the league in 6 consecutive years and the Regional Cup Final in 3 consecutive years and remained unbeaten in the 2k Walk. Ann & Lynne Newton were GB team-mates in the 3k Walk, winning Gold & Silver in the European Indoor Championships.
Ann was National Champion at every distance from 3000m to 20k and multiple Gold medal winner at Veteran World Championships.
Ann bravely battled cancer for the past decade but sadly passed away on 18 June.
Her funeral is on 14 July at Wokingham and Lynne & Peter Newton will represent the club. Anyone wishing to attend should contact Lynne Newton.
