Long awaited officials course now available, 18th September

I'm repeating information I originally posted way back in early June asking who would support the club by taking the technical officials course. I had a magnicent response 26 willing to stand up and be counted. At the time tutors could not be provided but now I have a date; Sunday 18th September at 10:00 a.m. until 3:00p.m.ish, in the Mountbatten Centre. This will be for field officials and time keepers. Track and starters will be held elsewhere at another time. So if you can... let me know your preference; field or timekeeping I can let the tutors know how many to expect. If you didn't see the original posting and would like to help the club as an official please don't think twice forward your name.

There have been a few parents showing an interest in becoming technical officials perhaps some more information would help tip the balance.
• With enough officials no one needs miss their children or grandchildren run jump or throw.
• With enough officials no one need spend all afternoon in the field.
• The course is a single day and the club will pay the fees.
• We will provide polo or T shirts etc. (I've just added that one myself but if it means enough officials I'm sure I can swing that one. We'll have to decide on the etc.)
• Officials travel free on club transport. Contribution towards independent travel cost can also be made.
• Officials get free packed lunches and refreshments
• In most leagues a full complement of officials gain extra points for the team so you will also be contributing to the team’s success.
• Courses are organised by Hampshire Athletics Technical Officials so they are always relatively close to home.
