This is the premier road race in the City of Portsmouth A.C. The 2017 event is the 71st 5 mile organised by the club. For the first time in its history the race has been transferred to Lakeside  North Harbour as the work on the sea defences has not been completed and a section of Stamshaw Promenade cannot be used.
