As in the first race of the series, Southampton A.C. & City of Portsmouth A.C. battled for the top spot but great results for the club's athletes.

Creat start to the 2017 Lakeside 5k series
Despite poor weather conditions, the Lakeside 5k series got off to a great start with a closely fought battle at the head of the field, Mahamed Mahamed of Southampton just pipping COPAC's Lachlan Wellington by 1 second.

Early season for success for city club.
The summer track and field season is just around the corner early season open events started last weekend. The City Portsmouth had a squad of throwers at Crawley while many of the sprinters headed for Bracknell.
